GOD INSPIRED
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work"
I often worry when I am called to speak that I will have the right words to say. Will my words reflect what God wants from me? I've had many times when I have been sick and still had to speak to groups and God saw me through it.
Several years ago I was asked if I could write the script and voice-overs for a couple of hunting films with a message. I answered, "I can try." I looked at hours of raw footage and began writing. I just allowed the Holy Spirit to keep feeding me the words, sentences, paragraphs and the entire movies.
When the projects were finished it all fell right into place. I was amazed at what God did through me. Check the movies out here...

Yesterday I read where a friend said they didn't believe in "solo-scriptura".... A fancy way of saying they didn't believe that all scripture is inspired by God. In their simple human mind it just couldn't be possible. I asked the question, "ok, which parts are and which parts aren't?". They said, "I'm not qualified to make that decision." If God were to give a person the wisdom to differentiate what is and what isn't inspired by God, why couldn't He have inspired the whole thing.
2 Peter 1:20-21 speaks of divine inspiration of scripture, explaining it this way...
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
John MacArthur, in his book, Drawing Near, explains it this way... "The word "Moved" (verse 21) is the translation of a nautical term that describes the effects of wind upon a ship as it blows against its sails and moves it through the water. Similarly, the Spirit moved on the Biblical writers to produce the Word of God in the language of men."
I Believe we have a choice to believe that either God inspired men to write these texts or He didn't. Taking bits and pieces that fit our own "feelings" eliminates the entire Bible. Either God's word is truly that (His Word) or it's a bunch of scribblings by dozens of misguided fools. It can't be both.
If we believe in an all-powerful God, then why is it impossible to believe that He could inspire the very men He created to write down His words, right? I choose to believe that the very God that created me, can do all things and with that He gave us a book from His heart to guide us through an imperfect world.
This is the very reason why we need to be in His Word day to day... it's the only way to know His heart and what He has in His will for my life and yours
