New Every Morning
Lamentations 3:22-23:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
There have been many mornings I've sat with my back against a tree and watched the woods come alive. There's something healing about watching the sun's rays find their way through the woods. Maybe you've never seen this. Well, the good news is, it will happen again tomorrow morning.
Today’s sunrise is different than most… The smoke from the Canadian wildfires is so thick that the sun looking like a burnt orange ball in the sky. Some morning that sun is clear and bright and some mornings we can’t see the sun as it is hidden behind a thick blanket of clouds. But not matter what the sky looking like in the morning, the sunrise will appear every day, no matter what.
Just like the sunrise, God's love and faithfulness are new every morning. The scriptures tell us His mercy is not a one-time event but a never-ending gift.
The next time you feel like giving up and everything seems hopeless, just remember God is not done with your story, He will be there with you and shaping your life every morning, like the sunrise… I might look different, But God is still in it.
Philippians 1:6
He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Yes, your plans might be derailed and your hopes dashed but remember... "God's plan is always better than your plan."
Isaiah 55:9 – "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways."
