Problems and Solutions

Romans 5:10
While we were yet enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son.
Everyone has problems. Our government has problems. Our
families have problems. Our churches have problems. Our
businesses have problems. Sometimes it feels like our whole lives
are nothing but problems. These problems could be insignificant
or enormous. You may not have enough money to cover the rent
this month and you are facing eviction. The car needs tires and
the money just isn't there. A family member is sick and you're not
sure you are going to be able to get them the care they need. You
spilled coffee on your pants on your way to work for an important
meeting with the Boss. All of these problems need some type of
solution, and sometimes the solution is not clear. If you are like
me, you try to "fix" every problem that you encounter. I don't like
to leave things undone and needing attention. Often, some
problems are beyond my control to provide a solution.
All humankind has a really big problem that they cannot fix. This
problem started a long time ago in a place called the Garden of
Eden. That problem has been passed to all humans and
continues today. This problem is sin and separation from God
because of it. Romans 3:23 states; "All have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God." We are incapable of fixing this problem on
our own. God cannot entertain sin so therefore we cannot
approach an all Holy God in our natural condition. Our sin
problem requires a miraculous solution. Praise God there is a
solution. God himself provided that solution in His Son, Jesus
Christ. The Bible tells us that "God so loved the world that He
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him shall
not perish, but have everlasting life." The precious blood of Jesus that He shed on the cross for your and my sins is the only
solution. Faith and trust in Jesus for our salvation is the only
answer to our problem. We can't fix our problem. Only Jesus is
qualified and able to fix our problem. Jesus himself stated "I am
the Way, the Truth, and the Life."
All we are required to do is place our faith and trust in Jesus as our personal Savior, and he is "faithful and just to forgive us our sins." Are you willing to simply receive what God has already
done through his Son Jesus?
