HIS BEAUTY REVEALED
Isaiah 49:3
He said to Me, "You are My Servant, Israel, In Whom I will show My glory."
It's fall again and that means being up early and in the woods. There are days when its tough to get out of bed early enough to see the daybreak. I love a morning hunt on a clear crisp morning. To sit in complete darkness and watch the world come alive as the sky slowly brightens. To see tree tops come into view and then a little more... Second by second until we can see clearly all that is around us.
I've gotten to witness sunrises all over North America and you can't help but gaze at a sunrise that is so brilliant and beautiful. I've been blessed to watch the day begin from the swamps of south Florida to the mountains of Alaska and Colorado and so many more places of beauty and wonder. I've watched heard bull elk bugling from the high ridges of the Rocky Mountains with the sun rising behind them... God's creation being revealed more and more each and every minute.
This morning, after dropping friends off at deer stands I waited for the sunrise on an old country road. I started writing as I watched to the east as the sky lightened and more and more of the woods came into view. As I looked on, I realized that this was just like a relationship with the Lord.
As we look to Him He reveals more and more of His beauty. Day by day it's like looking at a beautiful sunrise... The darkness goes away and the beauty is revealed. However in order to see the beauty we have to be looking for it.
Many of us go through life hoping that God reveals His majesty to us. We wait for Him to work in our lives, but we never go looking for Him. We never take an active part in our relationship with Him. We need to realize that the beauty is there everyday like the sunrise... We just need to open our eyes and our hearts to take part in it
Isaiah 6:3
And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory."
Are you missing out on the beauty and Majesty of the Lord? Are you allowing God to reveal His beauty in your eyes and your life?
Go and look for Him each morning and throughout your day... He will reveal Himself if we seek Him out.
