GIVE GOD THE GLORY

Linda Hulce has shared that her biggest and favorite bucks that she's taken, she prayed about before harvesting.  One of the things that she prays is God will get all the glory after the harvest... and she does.

There was an elderly lady in the church that I grew up in whose name was Mona Fetter. Mona lived to be 100 years old before the Lord called her home in 2008. She was a godly woman and an inspiration to anyone who knew her. During most of her adult life, Mona was prolific in writing poems. Sister Fetter wrote many poems about our blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her poems were filled with the knowledge and hope of a risen Savior. Most of her writings were tagged with "GGTG". These letters meant Give God The Glory. Sister Fetter was the author of these poems, but she wanted God to receive all the praise and glory. She had the attitude of "not me but you Lord".

It is often the case for so many to work from the stance of self-aggrandizement  and are seeking the praise and adoration from their fellow man. Only our Heavenly Father is worthy of praise and honor. God's holiness should inspire reverence and awe. 1 Chronicles 16:25 states, "For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise. The glory of God refers of His magnificence, worth, and beauty of His many perfections, which He reveals through His creation and His actions. We are called to recognize and glorify Him in all aspects of our life. Sister Mona wanted God to receive all the glory. My prayer is that I too would give God all the glory in all things.

The following is an example of a poem by Sister Mona:
"Give All The Glory To God"
What e'er I am or hope to be
Is granted by my God to me.
In me there dwelleth no good thing,
I can but to His goodness cling,
And praise and glorify His name
That He from me removed sin's stain!

What e'er I do, what e'er I say,
Give Him glory in every way.
Totally unworthy am I,
Why He saved me, I know not why!
I want Him o'er my life to reign,
That I His righteousness may gain.

Let me behind His cross be hid,
Doing what e'er my Lord doth bid,
Ever to His name give glory
As I tell salvation's story.
O' let others not behold me,
But in my life only Jesus see!
