No Condemnation

Luke 8:17
For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light

There have been many times, when hunting, where I've moved too much or too quickly and still got by with it.  Other times I've silhouetted myself against the skyline and somehow didn't get spotted. Many times I've made too much noise, by dragging my feet or snap a twig and still pulled off a stalk. I've even hunted with the wind to my back and got lucky. There are lots of things you can do to increase your odds of success and maybe they all aren't necessary, but sooner or later if you get lazy or take a shortcut, it will cost you a trophy animal.

My wife or others will occasionally remind me of the last part of Numbers 32:23  "and be sure your sin will find you out."  Life is full of choices and when we make a wrong one, we might think we can bury it before someone notices and just move on. Sometimes we might even think we got away with it, but sooner or later there will be a price to pay.

In Luke 8:17 we read, "For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light."

We also read in 1 Corinthians 4:5  "...who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart."

Before you begin feeling guilty, there's good news! In Romans 8:1 we read, "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." This verse clearly says that Christians have freedom from judgment. We can have the assurance that God's wrath against sin is replaced by forgiveness and life in Christ.  There will be nature consequences for sin,  but they are not held against you.

There is no condemnation.
